Austrian baroque violinist and conductor Michi Gaigg receives the honor which is given every four years to artists and/or organizations for their outstanding work
Gaigg, winner of the “Music and Performing Arts” category, is the founder of L’Orfeo Barockorchester. She previously served on the faculties of the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz and the Conservatoire National de Strasbourg.
The other four other categories of the prize include: Architecture and Urban Planning, Visual Arts and Interdisciplinary Art Forms, Literature and Cultural Journalism, and Communications.
Each recipient will be awarded €3600.
