The English National Opera has announced that it will present Handel’s “Messiah” this Easter. The famed work will be presented in collaboration with BBC;.
The English National Opera and the BBC last teamed up in November for Mozart’s Requiem and presented the work on television. The news also comes shortly after the English National Opera announced its new Ring Cycle which is set to be directed by Richard Jones and will open in the autumn with “Die Walkure.”
The English National opera has yet to announce plans to reopen its theater and has also not announced a fall season.
More details on the “Messiah” performance, including information about its cast, will be announced in the coming weeks.
